About the Blogger: Blair V. Castro, J.D.

I am currently awaiting results from the Florida Bar Exam! I am not an attorney (yet). In no way does this blog give any legal advice or state conclusively any matters of law. This is simply my own personal take on hot legal topics in the entertainment, sports, and fashion industries. 

Originally from Pensacola, FL, I received my B.A. in 2007 from the University of West Florida in Pre-law/Political Science at the age of 19. I moved to Orlando in 2009 to pursue a law degree, where I graduated with my Juris Doctor in 2012 from Barry University School of Law. I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Jerusualem, Israel, where I obtained a specialized certificate from the Rothberg International School at Hebrew University in Conflicts from Religious Traditions, which has enabled me to garner skills in religious and legal debate and conflict resolution. 

While in law school, I was in involved in many student organizations and local bar associations, most notably, I served as the president of the LGBT Student Group on campus, Students for Equality for two terms. I enjoy serving my community- I previously worked as a volunteer Florida Department of Health Certified HIV Tester and Counselor here in Orlando, as well as a Certified Legal Intern in which I gained trial experience by representing juveniles in court on criminal matters. 

Currently, I am studying at Full Sail University, working on my Entertainment Business M.S. Hopefully, this will help in my ultimate goal of becoming an entertainment, sports, and fashion law attorney.
